His Song
Fulfilled Prophecy

The Bible is a unique book, better authenticated than any other book in history, and the principle means by which God communicates with his creation.   His own authentication is characterized by prophetic statements that lay out His plan in advance, leaving no margin for error, and demonstrating to us the supernatural origin of the Scriptures.

In addition, Israel holds a central position in these prophecies, underling the central role she will play in the culmination of God’s redemptive plan...

and so all Israel will be saved
"THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB."
"THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS."
    Rom 11:26-27

Prophecy

Fulfillment

Jer 31:38  "Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when the city will be rebuilt for the LORD from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.
Jer 31:39  "The measuring line will go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah.
Jer 31:40  "And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it will not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever."

Some 2600 years ago Jeremiah, "the weeping prophet" of God, speaking of the Last days, told us the extent and sequence of the rebuilding of the suburbs of Jerusalem. This has been fulfilled following the re-birth of Israel as a nation in 1948, where the order of rebuilding follows exactly that predicted by Jeremiah.

Isa 44:28  "It is I who says of Cyrus, 'He is My shepherd! And he will perform all My desire.' And he declares of Jerusalem, 'She will be built,' And of the temple, 'Your foundation will be laid.'"
Isa 45:1 Thus says the LORD to Cyrus His anointed, Whom I have taken by the right hand, To subdue nations before him And to loose the loins of kings; To open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:
Isa 45:13  "I have aroused him in righteousness And I will make all his ways smooth; He will build My city and will let My exiles go free, Without any payment or reward," says the LORD of hosts.

Some 150 years before he was born, Isaiah named a conqueror, Cyrus, who would lay waste to the most fortified city on earth at the time.  Isaiah also describes how Cyrus would let captive Israel go free 180 years later as indeed he did, and all of this 80 years before they even went into captivity.

Jer 49:17  "Edom will become an object of horror; everyone who passes by it will be horrified and will hiss at all its wounds.
Eze 25:12  'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Because Edom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has incurred grievous guilt, and avenged themselves upon them,"
Eze 25:13  therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "I will also stretch out My hand against Edom and cut off man and beast from it. And I will lay it waste; from Teman even to Dedan they will fall by the sword.

Despite the fertility of the area around the Jordan river, Jeremiah and Ezekiel predicted accurately that the land of Edom (now part of Jordan) would become the uninhabited and barren wasteland that it now is.

Isa 7:14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

Isaiah prophesied that a virgin birth would occur in Israel’s future, a sign from the Lord Himself.  Her offspring to be called “God with us”, a combination of the Hebrew ‘eem’, with us, and ‘el’ G-d.  Matt. 1:23.
